Yi-Hsuan Huang
I am a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Swarthmore College. My research focuses on feminist political thought and democratic theory. My current book project Democratizing Exclusion explores when and how democracy can legitimately limit participation activities to safeguard its institutions.I teach feminist political theory, democratic theory, modern political thought and just war theory.
My esearch has received competitive sponsorship from the Graduate School of UNC, Chapel Hill. the National Institute of Social Sciences and the Ministry of Education of Taiwan, and I am also the recipient of the the Pouliot Teaching Award, which recognized outstanding teaching based on students’ evaluations.
I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and a MSc in Political Theory from London School of Economics.
